CrossInnovation, LLC is seeking an Electronic Engineering Technician to support the development and maintenance of M2M embedded systems used on Farm machinery. Ideal candidate will have electrical, mechanical, software experience and enjoy working hard to meet project timelines. Individual must be a self-starter, action oriented, and can effectively cope with changing environments. This position enjoys working hands-on from concept to launch. Requirements:

• Knowledge of RF used in Cellular systems (CDMA, GSM), GPS and accuracy, and Satellite Communications.
• Knowledge of Can Bus technology especially the J1939 standard.
• Knowledge of software testing and design.
• Build and evaluate prototype systems, and products.
• Modify electrical/mechanical prototypes, parts, assemblies, and systems to correct functional deviations.
• Generate System Level drawings, BOMs, Test Procedures, etc.
• Utilize various test and diagnostic equipment.
• Perform and document system performance; i.e., demonstrate that designs achieve specification objectives, ensure adequate tolerance, perform accelerated life and worse case evaluations, etc.
• Analyze and interpret test information to resolve design-related problems.
• Deal with Safety and RF regulatory compliance and immunity issues
• Create Production & QA tests to support cost effective field maintenance.
• Participate in peer design reviews to improve product robustness throughout the design and product life cycle.

Essential Abilities and Skills:

• One to five years’ experience developing and supporting M2M embedded systems.
• Knowledge and fluency with many standard types of evaluation equipment and systems.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, knowledge of the theory and principles of electrical/mechanical design
• Good organizational, decision-making, human relations and communication skills. Good computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Ability to work in, and respond to, a technical area with major growth potential.
• Knowledge of farming and equipment used is a plus.

• Education/Experience:
• 3-5 years of experience
• BSBS in EE, BSEET, related field or equivalent experience
